Before I begin this story, there are a couple of things I want to make sure is perfectly understood! First, while some (if not all) of you may not believe me, I am not doing this as some sort of vengeance against a certain person! I only want you to hear the story from my point of view! And yes, I suppose I do want everyone to know what kind of person I think this certain individual really is!

Second, for those of you who may believe otherwise, I did NOT break up with Hal, nor did I leave him! And I did NOT willingly give him up without a fight! I fought tooth and nail to keep us together! HAL LEFT ME!!! As much as it devastated me to do so, I did eventually give up the fight as a lost cause!

I first met Chris (a.k.a Romeo1 in the Central/Mt.-Louisiana Room) online when I first started going in to my favorite chat room at Gay.Com! From our first chat session, it appeared that Romeo and I were going to be very good friends; little did I know that he would betray my trust in him! And after I defended him to someone else; although, I must admit that Romeo1 did ask me to leave that situation alone! To say that Romeo1 was one of two people who knew just what Hal meant to me and how much I loved that young man would be an understatement! After all, it was Romeo1 to whom I first confided in the first time Hal broke up with me! It was Romeo1's shoulders that I cryed on, even though it was online!

Now understand I am NOT placing all of the blame on Romeo1! He would not have been successful in stealing Hal from me without Hal's compliance; but, because he knew what and how much my relationship with Hal meant to me, I do place the lions share of the blame on Romeo1!

Shortly before my 32nd birthday, Hal and I, along with a few other friends, met Romeo1 in person for the first time! We all met in Alexandria for dinner then went to the local gay bar to see a drag show! At the time, that evening only served to further cement our friendship! Again, little did I know what a deceitful, lying, thieving individual Romeo1 would turn out to be!

From our first online meeting until the end of our friendship, Romeo1 maintained that there are two things he would never do! #1: Due to his parents divorce and the cause of it, Blake has stated that he would never do anything to cause the breakup of another persons relationship! #2: Blake stated he would never allow a relationship with a man to come between him and his mother, nor would he leave his mother for a man! We now know what a lie #2 was!

As for #1... On or about the weekend of June 11th, 1999, Hal and a friend drove to Lafayette to meet some friends at one of the local bars! Before they left, it was arranged that my best friend Steve (also mine and Hal's roommate) and I would meet them in Laf. for breakfast the following morning! Apparently, Romeo1 was informed of the get together at Jules and decided to make an appearance! After the bar closed, Hal, Romeo1 and the friend spent the night at another friends! When Steve and I arrived the next morning, it was to find Romeo1 in bed with Hal! Being the trusting fool that I am, I thought nothing of it as I am aware of how little sleeping space there is at our friends! That is, until later that evening! On our way back to DeRidder, I was informed by Hal that while in bed the previous evening, Romeo1 stated that he wished Hal were single! Hal also further informed me that they fell asleep in each others arms! And Romeo1 said he would never do anything to break up another persons relationship!?! WHAT-THE-FUCK-EVER!!!

A few weeks later (June 27th to be exact), Hal went to Arkansas to visit his family during his two week leave from the army! While there, Hal informed me (over the computer of all things) that he and Romeo1 had feelings for each other and that he would be going to visit Blake before returning to DeRidder so they could discuss their feelings for one another! Not once before he returned to DeRidder did Hal tell me that we are over! And not once did Romeo1 tell Hal that they needed to wait till Hal officially broke up with me! Romeo1's exact words to me were, "As far as I am concerned, when we got together Hal had made the decision to leave you and that is enough for me!"
